Important warnings for heat pads and hot water bottles:

  • Do not fill with boiling water: Use only warm, but not boiling, water to avoid damage and burns to the material.
  • Don't overfill: Only fill the hot water bottle about two-thirds full to prevent it from bursting under pressure. Carefully squeeze out any excess air before sealing it.
  • Tighten the cap: Always check the cap thoroughly to ensure that no water leaks out.
  • Avoid direct skin contact: Do not place the hot water bottle directly on your skin. Always use a cover or cloth to prevent burns.
  • Supervise children and the elderly: Only allow children or elderly, sensitive people to use hot water bottles under supervision, as they cannot always assess the risk of burns.
  • Regular inspection: Check the hot water bottle regularly for cracks, wear, or discoloration. Defective hot water bottles should be disposed of immediately.
  • Avoid prolonged use: Use the hot water bottle only for limited periods of time and remove it immediately if you experience any discomfort to avoid skin irritation.
  • Store safely: Store the hot water bottle empty and open in a cool, dry place to protect the material and prevent mold growth.
  • Do not use in the microwave or oven: Hot water bottles must not be heated in the microwave or oven as this may cause damage and potential accidents.
